- Autumn: proposed language that management wanted to put forward
- About program directors will need to track CORIs and SORIs
- Member: takes too much time
- Will no longer take video reports
- Member: doing CORIs and SORIs is a part time job
- Need someone at college level to do this job
- Blatantly going behind the backs of health sciences faculty
- Just coordinating the drug testing alone took up all the summer hours
- Information should be kept confidential
- Autumn: Please put names in the chat or email so we can have more specific information
- Prior to covid, all faculty had to track down
- Students cannot register for courses until CORI has cleared
- Need better process—losing students because they don’t understand
- For certain programs, could students be CORI and SORI during admission?
- Process is confusing for students; don’t understand the process
3. Chapter Director (10 Minutes)
- . Special Election
- Shelly Murphy will be stepping down at the end of the semester
- Description of position
- Shelly: regretfully stepping down
- Represent our chapter at the statewide level
- Involves: MACER; MCCC board meetings (lengthy); on Zoom right now; Represent at delegate assembly (biggest requirement)

- Autumn: most of us now are hired as faculty and then take on the roll of coordinator
- Workload questions? Please contact union
- Member: More phishing emails than usual?
- Member: can we formalize a process for impact bargaining so that others who may be impacted by solution can know; must look at system-wide
- Autumn: not sure…how much privacy for impact bargaining?
- Sometimes catches us by surprise
- Sometimes union or college asks for impact bargaining
- Need an impact bargaining team
- Emily: Some of impact bargaining is very confidential; also must know the contract well to bargain well
- Should know the contract better than we do
- We can get impact bargaining training
- Will discuss in exec committee
- Member: are there people at the state level who can help us understand the contract? CORI and SORI a huge issue for health sciences and Vet Tec
- Autumn: we do have support from state wide, but how well are they trained? Seems one sided when management has attorneys at their disposal; transparency is very important
- Catherine: everyone should have some idea of what the contract contains, if not the specific language
- Member: Our chapter needs a way to protect privacy but still share news on impact bargaining.
- Autumn: good idea and let’s check with other colleges to see what their process is; we need a process to address this; any member can do impact bargaining, they don’t need the union
- We don’t know what needs to be impact bargained or grieved until something is submitted
- Member: shouldn’t college’s policy on F2F courses for faculty be impact bargained?
- Autumn: we checked with state wide: management has the right to implement policy on f2f courses, but needs to be applied evenly
